More and more people want to spend time with their pets beyond the home; in beaches, food places, squares. That is why many entertainment establishments, including transport companies, have adapted their services to join the pet-friendly trend.
There are many places and establishments, both private and public, that allow the presence of our faithful four-legged friends. Those who want to know new places in Spain, can do it traveling by train, plane or metro, in addition to the personal car.

If you are going to travel with your dog it is necessary that you know the rules of the airline, since the facilities will vary depending on each of them. If you want the pet to stay in the cabin with you, your weight, plus the transporting weight, can not exceed eight kilos. The transporting must be labeled with the data of the owner and destination. In general, airlines request certain documentation, such as health and insurance requirements, so that pets can travel on this means of transport.
Brachycephalic or flat-snouted dogs, such as chow chow, bull tierrer and boxers, for example, can not travel in the plane's hold, as they are at risk of respiratory distress due to stress or high temperatures.

To travel on medium and long distance trains in Spain, the pet must not exceed 10 kilograms and only one animal per traveler is allowed. It is mandatory to take it in a properly identified cage or transporting.

The Seville metro and the Palma de Mallorca metro do not allow dogs to enter. In the case of the Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Malaga, Alicanate and Valencia metros, the entry of pets is allowed. Pets that do not fulfill this role, must travel in a cage or transport and weigh less than 8 kilos. Also, it has to be identified with a chip. It can not occupy seats and its access could be restricted by agglomerations. One dog is allowed per traveler.

If the trip is to be made by car, the pet must remain inside a transporting or cage to ensure their safety and that of the travelers. If done in a shared car (paid service), the dog can not travel without its owner, and if the animal occupies the seat of another passenger, the owner must pay.
